I made this coat in 1970 high school sewing class and entered it the Wool Contest, along with a Miss Vogue pattern 7764 pantsuit. The pantsuit won 1st place!
My coat was made with a pale aqua wool, matching aqua buttons, and lined with matching satin. Two years ago I was sharing my creations with my grown fashionista daughter and she loved this coat. With an excellent dry cleaning and a few tweaks for fit, my daughter now proudly wears my creation!

I made this pattern in 1968 in a brown loop mohair that had a striped texture pattern, the loops were in a row not scattered. I did a dull satin lining, and used buttons made out of 2 types of wood, a large dark center and a narrow rim of lite wood mimicing the color of the outside and inside of the coat. Still have it and still LOVE it. No unfortunately does not fit!! This is a FABULOUS STYLE and fitted great!!!
